DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrive Kochi

Arrive Kochi airport by 6E 315 at 09.25 hrs; you will be met on arrival by our driver and transferred to your hotel and later in the afternoon enjoy a half day sightseeing of this colonial port town, which is famous for its Mattanchery Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, Jew Street, old Churches, Dutch Cemetery, beach walkway and huge Chinese fishing nets, which adorn the northern shores. Evening watch the dance drama of Kerala – Kathakali show in a local theatre.  Overnight at Hotel Casino.

 

Day 02: Kochi – Munnar

Morning after breakfast drive to Munnar (about 145 km /04 hrs), a picturesque hill station covered with unending expanses of tea plantations. Arrive and check into your hotel and later in the afternoon enjoy a half day sightseeing, which consists of Tea Museum followed by free time to stroll around the small town of Munnar in search of good tea products. Overnight at Hotel Eastend.

 

Day 03: In Munnar

Morning after breakfast enjoy a half day sightseeing, which consists of Pothamedu view point, Madupetty dam, where you can enjoy boat at the reservoirs, Echo Point & Flower Garden. Rest of the time at leisure. Overnight at Hotel Eastend.

 

Day 04: Munnar – Thekkady (Periyar)

Morning after breakfast drive to Thekkady (about 110 km / 03-04 hrs) through the cardamom hills of Idukki. Arrive and check into your hotel and later in the afternoon explore the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary by 01 hr motor boat ride on the manmade lake, which encircles the wildlife. Overnight at Hotel Silver Crest.

 

Day 05: In Thekkady (Periyar)

Morning after breakfast enjoy a short drive to nearby plantations to know more about the spices of Kerala along with joy elephant ride (optional). Afternoon free to stroll around the spice market of Kumily and later in the evening watch the martial art show at a local theatre. Overnight at Hotel Silver Crest.

 

Day 06: Thekkady (Periyar) – Kumarakom

Morning after breakfast drive to Kumarakom (about 125 km / 03-04 hrs), check into your hotel located on the banks of Vembanadu Lake and relax or enjoy a sunset cruise using country boat. Overnight at Hotel Whispering Palm.

 

Day 07: In Kumarakom

Early morning enjoy a nature walk at nearby Bird Sanctuary; back to your hotel for breakfast and rest of the day free to relax. Overnight at Hotel Whispering Palm.

 

Day 08: Kumarakom – Alleppey

Morning free; late morning board your houseboat in Kumarakom that comprises of furnished bed rooms with attached bath and toilet. Start your enchanting cruise through the backwaters of Kerala. Overnight at

Houseboat.

 

Day 09: Alleppey – Kovalam

Morning after breakfast disembark from the houseboat, straight drive to Kovalam (about 165 km / 04-05 hrs), check into your hotel located on the shores of Arabian Sea and rest of the day free to relax on the beach. Overnight at Hotel Soma Palmshore.

 

Day 10: In Kovalam

Day at leisure. Overnight at Hotel Soma Palmshore.

 

Day 11: In Kovalam

Day at leisure. Overnight at Hotel Soma Palmshore.

 

Day 12: Kovalam – Trivandrum

Morning free; afternoon transfer to Trivandrum airport to board your flight to onward destination
