Day 01: Depart Home

 

Day 02: Arrive Chennai and sightseeing

Arrive in the morning and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, half day sightseeing of this metropolitan city, which consists of Fort St. George, it’s Museum, St. Thome Cathedral, Govt. Museum, Kapaleeshwarar Temple and finally free to stroll around the white sand Marina beach. Overnight Hotel.

 

 

Day 03: Chennai – Mahabalipuram

After breakfast drive to Kancheepuram (about 75 km / 02 hrs) to visit the famous Temples and Silk Weaving units. Later in the afternoon drive to Mahabalipuram (about 70 km / 02 hrs), check into your hotel and later in the afternoon enjoy a half day sightseeing of this old port town, which is famous for its World Heritage Monuments – Shore Temple, Five Rathas & Arjuna’s Penance. Day 04: Mahabalipuram – Pondichery

After breakfast dirve to Pondichery (about 110 km / 03 hrs), enroute visit the Universal Colony – Auroville. Arrive and check into your hotel and later in the afternoon enjoy a heritage walk through the grid pattern streets, old buildings, which have the influence of France. Also visit the world famous Aurobindo Ashram. Evening free to stroll around the promenade at beach front. Overnight Hotel.

 

 

Day 05: Pondichery – Thanjavur

After breakfast drive to Thanjavur (about 210 km / 05 hrs), enroute visit the Nataraja Temple at Chidambaram, Darasuram & Gangaikondacholapuram Temples. Arrive and check into your hotel and relax.

Day 06: Thanjavur – Trichy

Early morning at dawn, we enjoy the visit of big Brihadeshvara Temple ; back to your hotel for breakfast and later continue your sightseeing of Art Gallery famous for its Bronze  Musuem. Afternoon drive to Trichy (about 60 km / 02 hrs), check into your hotel and later in the afternoon visit the Rock Fort Temple.

Day 07: Trichy – Madurai

After breakfast continue your sightseeing to Srirangam Temple ; later drive to Madurai (about 135 km / 03 hrs), check into your hotel and later in the afternoon enjoy your visit to Sri Meenakshi Temple followed by evening aarti ceremony at the temple. Overnight Hotel.

 

 

Day 08: Madurai – Munnar

After breakfast continue your sightseeing of  Thirumalai Naykar Palace and Theppakulam – the temple tank. Later in the afternoon drive to Munnar (about 160 km / 04 hrs) check into your hotel and relax . Overnight Hotel.

 

Day 09: In Munnar

After breakfast enjoy a full day sightseeing of this tea growing hill station, which consists of Eravikulam N.P, Tea Museum, Madupetty Reservoir, Pothamedu view point and finally free to stroll around the small picture book town of Munnar. Overnight Hotel.

 

 

Day 10: Munnar – Thekkady

After breakfast drive to Thekkady (about 110 km / 03 hrs) through the cardamom hills of Idukki.

Arrive and check into your hotel. Later explore the Periyar Wild Life Sanctuary  by couple of hours motor boat ride on the manmade lake, which encircles the wildlife. Overnight Hotel.

 

 

Day 11: Thekkady – Kumarakom

After breakfast drive to Kumarakom (about 130 km / 03 hrs), enroute a short drive to nearby plantations to know more about the spices of Kerala. Arrive and check into your hotel and relax. Overnight Hotel.

 

 

Day 12: Kumarakom – Kochi

After breakfast drive to Kochi (about 70 km / 02 hrs). Arrive and check into your hotel. In the afternoon visit this old harbor town, which consists of Mattanchery Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, Jew Street, Old Streets & Churches, Folklore Museum. In the evening watch the dance drama of kerala – Kathakali show in a local theatre. Overnight Hotel.

 

 

Day 13: Kochi – Allepey – Houseboat

Aftrer breakfast drive to Allepey (about 65 km / 02 hrs), where we board our houseboat and start our enchanting cruise through the backwaters of Allepey till sunset. Overnight Houseboat.

 

 

Day 14: Allepey – Kanyakumari

After breakfast disembark from the houseboat, straight drive to Kanyakumari (about 255 km / 05-06 hrs), enroute visit the Padhamanbhapuram Palace. Arrive and check into your hotel and later in the evening watch the sunst at Triveni Ghat. Overnight Hotel.

 

 

Day 15: Kanyakumari – Kovalam

After breakfast enjoy a half day sightseeing, which consists of Vivekananda Rock, Thiruvallur Statue, local temple and maket area. Later in the afternoon drive to Kovalam (about 90 km / 03 hrs), check into your hotel overlooking the Arabian Sea and relax. Overnight Hotel.

 

 

Day 16: Kovalam

The day at leisure on the beach. Overnight Hotel.

 

 

Day 17: Kovalam – Trivandrum

Early morning transfer to Trivandrum international airport (around 45 mins drive) to board your flight to onward destination.
