Mr. Ashok Koul
Managing Director
A man of belief, driven by his ethics and morals, Ashok is our Managing Director.
His passion for travel helped him showcase India on platforms across the globe.
In 1973, Ashok stepped into the terrain of adventure tourism. His unshakable conviction gave rise to his own company in 1974. He travelled to the Himalayan range and explored untouched terrains of Ladakh at a very young age. Ashok has actively contributed, bringing adventure tourism where it is today with sheer belief and dedication of delivering quality over quantity. In his four-decade-long career, his love for exploration and trekking has only fueled his passion for delving into the unknown.
Ashok is an integral part of the Adventure Tour Operator Association of India (ATOAI). He aims at constantly paving a road-map for the upcoming generation. His flair to reach bigger heights did not wither even after encountering the terrible times in Kashmir in the 90s. His enthusiasm and unshaken belief revolve around enhancing responsible ecotourism and his insights and efforts strive to make India one of the best adventure tourism destinations of the world.
Mr. Vinayak Koul
Director
Bringing a decade long experience of leading trips, Vinayak is our Director at SnowLion Expeditions. He bagged the National Award for the Best Adventure Tour Operator (Inbound) for the company and is the youngest Honorary Secretary of the Adventure Tour Operator Association of India (ATOAI). Leading one of the pilot projects of the cleaning drive of Stok Kangri trail under the Ministry of Tourism’s ‘Adopt A Heritage Project’ and Vinayak has been travelling extensively in India and overseas exploring to showcase new ventures.
Explored peaks ranging from 6000 - 70000 meters in the Himalayas to contributing immensely to the tourism industry, Vinayak has spoken about the scope and reaches of adventure tourism in India on multiple occasions. An active contributor and believer of sustainable adventure tourism he strongly believes in pushing creative ideas to turn those into practical, achievable travelling realities.
