The
adventure trekking tour involves crossing of four high passes
through the remote Zanskar River Valley of Ladakh. Ancient
monasteries and dramatic scenery along this historic trade route
through the Himalaya. It is an adventure for people who want an
epic summer trek and intimate interaction with the ethnic
Tibetan people of Zanskar, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh.
This trekking tour in India features much up - and - down,
traversing a number of deep gorges often with swift river
crossings. The region north of Zanskar is so remote that few
westerners have ever travelled here and there is the opportunity
for seeing bear, snow leopard, arctic hare and wolf. |

Bardun- Mune- Teesta- Purne- Khargiak- Lakong- Ramjak- Dakbanjan-
Dharcha (trek ends) - Manali- Delhi.

The
above trek can be done also when we drive from Delhi- Chandigarh-
Manali- Darcha- Dakbanjan- Ramjak- Lakong- Kargiakh- Purne-
Teesta- Mune- Bardun- Padam. Then drive to Leh and fly out to
Delhi.There is one more option to do the longer trek for further
11 days and come out in Lamayuru.
Drive Through Kargil to reach Padum, the headquater of Zanskar
Valley and begin your trek You follow Tsarap Lingti river all
the way upto Lakongo below Shingo La. Here you come across a
totally different cultural environment Buddhist Chortens, Mani
Walls, Prayer Wheels and flags being common. From Lakong it is a
long climb to the top of Shingo La crossoing snow and rivers. At
the top of the pass there is a huge rock ‘Mani’ with fluttering
prayer flags and white stones which are offered by the local
people to the Goddess of the pass. You now descend to the other
side of the pass over a glacier and enter into the Lahoul area
of Himachal Pradesh and finish trekking at Dharcha. Next day
drive to Manali which is a beautiful hill resort full of fruit
orchards and flowers and then drive from Manali for Kulu before
taking flight to Delhi |

MARKHA VALLEY TREK
Delhi- Leh-Spituk- Zinchen- Yurutse- Shingo- Skio-
Markha- Hankar- Nimaling- Chogdo- Hemis- Leh- Sarchu- Manali-
Delhi.

This
adventure trek begins after crossing the bridge on the Indus
river below the Spituk monastery and is a route involving high
altitude trekking through very arid areas. After crossing
through the valleys of the Markha and Nimaling and crossing the
Ganda La and Kougmar La, you end your trek at Hemis and drive
back to Leh. From Leh we drive to Manali over the high passes
like Tag Lang La Lachungla, Baralacha La and Rohtang. |

Rupshu till recently restricted starts with a bus ride up to
Brandy Nallah through the lowlands of India via Manali, valley
of Gods of Hindu sect. The trek goes through the breath taking
gorges and passes of Rohtang to Buddhist Lahul valley over
Baralacha-La, Yar-La, Nimaling etc. We get a close contact with
the Tibetan Kayangs and water birds too. The trip will end at
Hemis in Ladakh driving through the Indus Valley of Buddhist
Monasteries. The trip needs an excellent physical condition.
